COA (Committee on Awards) Chair
The OCNZ Executive Committee has pleasure in announcing the appointment of Chris Hubbert as the new Chair of the COA. Chris will take over this role from Margaret Lomas next February. After many years as Chair, Margaret has decided to stand down. Congratulations Chris and thank you Margaret for the wonderful service you have given to COA.

Orchid Awards
While we are on the topic of judging COA would like to remind you that you don’t have to wait for an orchid show to have a plant awarded. If you think you have a plant of award quality you can contact your local judging panel chair who can arrange for a team of judges to look at your plant. Contact details for your judging panel can be found here.

Orchid Wiz
Council has several copies of the latest version of Orchidwiz (X7.0, Sep 2020) available at $160 each. First come, first served. Email enquiries to our treasurer.

Yearbook Copy
Editor Allan Rae needs your contributions for the Yearbook! He has received some articles but still has room to fill. Society news and Vales for well-known orchid personalities and OCNZ judges are also welcome. Please send contributions to Allan Rae via email.

Vale – Maureen Tomlinson
OCNZ was sad to hear of the recent and unexpected passing of Maureen Tomlinson from Dunedin. Maureen had been an OCNZ judge for a number of years and was our last satellite judge. Our condolences go to Maureen’s family

The OCNZ Executive Committee would like to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Safe New Year.
